Modern Restaurant Concepts is a national multi-concept restaurant platform focused on better-for-you concepts, co-founded in 2009 by Anthony Pigliacampo and Rob McColgan.

 

The mission is simple: Offering food that tastes amazing. Food that is convenient. Food that checks all the right boxes on where it’s from, how it’s made and how good it is for you. Modern Market wants to serve food that fits your philosophy on food, whatever that philosophy is.

 

According to Pigliacampo and McColgan, back in 2009, food like this was hard to find, so  Modern Market Eatery was born. They share, “It’s a place that really does try to do it all. A place that makes ‘eating well’ the highlight of your days rather than a chore. A place that makes making good choices easy. We are kind of a mash up between the farmer’s market, a chef’s table and a fast food restaurant. Hard to describe but you get it after the first bite.”

One of the things Modern Market was looking for when choosing a new POS was the ability to integrate to their current HR system. Since Brink POS has a Universal API,  Modern Market was seamlessly able to build an integration between those two systems to increase efficiency. Brink’s open cloud architecture provided them the ability to do so.

 

“The thing that I was most excited about with Brink POS coming to Modern Market is that it’s cloud based. I can make changes across multiple locations with a laptop and be done.” said Brian Anderson, Director of Technology for Modern Restaurant Concepts.

 

Anderson added, “Having one platform that we can use with multiple concepts and get the best experience for the employees at those restaurants is probably one of the most powerful features. It allowed for a better flow and a more natural experience for the interaction between the guest and employee taking the order.”
