Top 5 Reasons to Attend the NRA Show

We are quickly coming up on the biggest foodie event of the year, the 100th anniversary of the National Restaurant Show! Here are the top 5 reasons to get out to Chicago May 18th – 21st!

#1 – Integrations – Join us on our inaugural voyage of our NRA Premier Partner program. We will be welcoming It’s A Checkmate and 7shifts into our booth, #7057, to highlight how they best integrate with Brink POS.

It’s A Checkmate is a leading service integrating 3rd party delivery platforms (Grubhub, Uber Eats, etc.) directly into POS systems such as PAR’s Brink POS.  Checkmate eliminates the “wall of tablets” through their integrations.  Stop by and chat with them about how they best mix with Brink and their flat monthly pricing with no setup fee.

We believe this is the epitome of a true partnership, the way Brink and Checkmate have worked together to create an integrated solution – not only from a technical perspective, but also from a customer service and operational support. The support extended by the entire team is beyond incredible and we believe, together, it has created a stronger solution for our mutual customers.” – Vishal Agarwal, Founder & CEO of It’s A Checkmate

7shifts is an online employee scheduling software to optimize labor management, time tracking, shift planning and streamline team communication.

Savannah, GA Smoothie King Area Supervisor Mackenzie Rautanen noticed that “In one month of using 7shifts, all three of my locations have dropped their labor by 5-7%.  The three locations used to spend upwards of 25% total on labor.  Now we are at 15% and below on labor spending. We have been able to accurately look at our sales to see where our labor is as well as watch our sales over the day to see if we need to let staff go home early.” (https://www.7shifts.com/blog/client-spotlight-smoothie-king/)

#2 – Celebrations! – Did someone say there would be cake?! There is plenty to celebrate this year, including the 100th anniversary of the National Restaurant Show!!! Be sure to register now so you don’t miss your chance to meet food and beverage industry leaders and see the best products and upcoming trends. This event is going to be the perfect recipe of exhibit pavilions, celebrity chef and mixology demos, networking, education sessions, and TechTalks. #100yearsofwow

On Monday 5/20 at 4:00pm we will be having a celebration of our own at booth #7057 with Native Foods Café who is celebrating 10 years of operating with Brink POS!!! 10 years?! That’s longer than most of our competitors have even been in business!

Scott McDonnell, Native Foods Café President comments “Brink POS has been an incredibly valuable partner for Native Foods over the past 10 years.  Their support over the years in developing a cloud-based API solution has opened up many doors for Native Foods in the restaurant tech world.”

#3 – Why is restaurant technology moving and changing so rapidly? – On Monday 5/20 PAR will be hosting a TechTalk located in the Innovation Theater (booth #5575)

Paul Rubin, Chief Strategy Officer, will take you on a journey of innovation, outlining the landscape of catalytic trends that technology must embrace in order to allow brands to remain prosperous and popular in today’s deeply saturated market. Paul’s discussion will also include advice on how to adapt the technology buying process to gain a degree of protection in our rapidly changing industry.

#4 – Games, Lanes, Food & Fun! – Join PAR and our friends from Epson, Decision Logic, It’s A Checkmate, and 7shifts at the alley on May 20th, for a one-of-a kind bowling event

Register here to join in the fun.  Try it, you’ll strike it!

#5 – CHI TOWN BABY!!! – Chicago is quite possibly the ultimate foodie metropolis! Some of the best restauranteurs in the nation put their blood, sweat, and tears on the table for windy city foodies.

Chicago has been awarded more than 40 James Beard Foundation Awards (the Oscars of the food world).  Some award winners are:

  • Grant Achatz – Alinea, Next, The Aviary
  • Jimmy Bannos, Jr. – The Purple Pig (try the Charred Cauliflower!)
  • Rick Bayless – Frontera Grill, Topolobampo, Xoco
  • Stephanie Izard (first woman to win Top Chef) – Girl & the Goat, Duck Duck Goat
  • Paul Kahan – Avec, Big Star, Blackbird (their lunchtime prix fixe is a total deal!), The Publican

This is just the tip of their culinary city!

When you wrap up after a full day of networking and learning at the NRA Show stop by some of the hippest restaurants there are.

While attending the show be sure to stop by booth #7057 to meet the PAR team.
