Today it’s all about maximizing the convenience for your customers to maximize success in the long run. According to a study conducted by Arlington Research, in partnership with PFS, 29% of businesses reported the need for additional online customer touchpoints, driven by customers’ “digital-first” shopping trends. Shopping, transacting and fulfilling all customers’ expectations become part of an integrated, omnichannel experience and if any of those elements is missing, it can impact the entire flow, resulting in lost sales opportunities.

What is omnichannel digital ordering?

An omnichannel digital ordering solution is a platform that integrates multiple digital channels such as mobile apps, web apps and kiosks to enable customers to place orders seamlessly. It allows ordering from any device, at any time and from any location, providing customers with a convenient and hassle-free ordering experience.

What are the benefits of omnichannel digital ordering?

  1. Increased Sales
Restaurants who leverage from omnichannel digital ordering services open themselves up to untapped opportunities and can draw in a much larger customer base. This increased accessibility and customer reach can lead to more orders and ultimately more sales.

  2. Improved Customer Experience
An omnichannel digital ordering solution provides customers with a more personalized ordering experience and the autonomy to select their favourite delivery and payment method and simultaneously track the order status in real-time. This optimization of customer experience eliminates potential hassle and frustration, ultimately elevating their experience to an unprecedented level.

  3. Enhanced Marketing Opportunities
Using a restaurant CRM platform allows restaurants to get access to all the important information of their customers. By getting to know their preferences and behaviour, restaurant brands can easily engage with customers through elaborate tailored marketing campaigns and offers.
  4. Increased Efficiency
Adopting an omnichannel digital ordering system is the perfect way to remove wait times, boost restaurant efficiency, save time, and keep customers happy. Thanks to digital recommendations, meal customization and new visual meal presentation, Vapiano saw an increase of 7% in check size for digital table ordering versus traditional orders. Automating the ordering process lets staff focus on what they do best – providing an exceptional customer experience every time.
