ArcGIS users will now have the ability to use and explore the application of FMV with GIS.  Esri introduced the concept at their 2011 International User Conference and received an overwhelmingly positive response from U.S. federal, state, and county government agencies as well as private industry.  Clark Swinehart, Esri Product Manager for Defense Solutions, explained the selection of PAR’s technology solution.  “The Gv²F SDK complements the ArcGIS software suite supporting the requirement to visualize and manage FMV data collected from today’s operational sensors.”

Gv²F features a robust application interface (API) that allows developers to ingest, process, and visualize MPEG-2 program and transport streams.  The software is U.S. Motion Imagery Standards Board (MISB) compliant for metadata parsing and allows isolation of individual video frames for export into standardized formats.  Other distinctive attributes include support for Frame Slicing, H.264 compression, HDTV, Unicast and Multicast Streams, and File Reading.  PAR is planning an early 2012 release of an FMV solution for mobile platforms running the Android and Apple IOS operating systems.

The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst is responsible for designing components of application functionality, documenting, testing newly developed components and systems, and supporting new functionality developed within the SpaSoft product suite. This involves working with designated developers to complete and enhance products, producing documentation for internal and external customers. The QA Analyst will be required to lead thorough testing and quality control measures to make sure that the software delivered is of the highest quality.
