Chief Executive Officer and President
Ron Casciano is the President and Chief Executive Officer for PAR Technology Corporation (PAR). Casciano was appointed to the President and CEO position in 2013, previously he was the CFO since 1995 and has worked at PAR for 29 years, including roles as Vice President/Treasurer and Corporate Controller.
Prior to joining PAR in 1983, Casciano worked at Price Waterhouse as an Audit Manager. Casciano is a Certified Public Accountant (State of New York) and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from LeMoyne College.
Chief Information Officer
John Darby, Chief Information Officer of PAR Technology Corporation, is responsible for the development and execution of a company-wide IT strategy to update and standardize our systems to improve the productivity of our employees and manage our overall IT costs. Mr. Darby has a long career as a senior executive in technology and hospitality and most recently was Vice President, Enterprise Systems of PAR’s Hotel and Spa business unit. Prior to joining PAR, John led a successful software company and held senior level IT and sales positions in the hospitality industry with companies such as Sheraton Corporation and Marriott International.

Karen E. Sammon
Karen Sammon joined PAR Technology Corporation as President of the Restaurant| Retail business in 2013. She blends high energy, metrics driven acuity with a focus on building a conscious culture to drive execution and growth.
Karen’s interest in technology solutions used by food and beverage operators started when she was young and PAR Technology Corporation was growing rapidly. Today, she is leveraging cloud-based software and the Internet of Things to transform PAR to a SaaS-led solutions company and innovator in technology for F&B companies including restaurants, grocery, C-Store, and contract food.
Karen attended Colgate University receiving a BA, History and the University of Cincinnati, College of Law where she received her J.D.. Karen joined PAR as in-house counsel and moved into operations where she applied her analytical and critical thinking acumen to help drive the business. She led the software business within PAR and climbed increasingly higher within management.
In 2009, Karen joined The CBORD Group, Inc. as SVP Operations. CBORD operates as a unit of Roper Technologies, Inc., a diversified technology company and a constituent of the S&P 500, Fortune 1000, and the Russell 1000 indices. This experience provided Karen with valuable insight software operational expertise and the College and University and Healthcare markets.
Karen became interested in the impact of culture on organization performance while attending the Harvard Business School Executive Education program where she studied the premise that strong and engaged stakeholders lead to a healthy, sustainable, resilient business. She remains personally committed to conscious leadership through which she is optimizing value for all of the stakeholders.
Karen serves on industry boards including Penn State School of Hospitality Technology Board of Directors and the FS TEC Advisory Board. Back at home, she contributes time to the Mohawk Valley Healthcare Foundation as a Board member and the Community Foundation.
Senior Vice President of Engineering and Development
Mr. Haley has responsibility for development and design of PAR’s software solutions. In addition, he also provides technical direction and support for product management. Mr. Haley will lead PAR’s engineering, architecture and quality teams. Mr. Haley joins PAR from The CBORD Group, where he was Vice President, Product Development. In this role, he implemented new software development practices and launched new products using the SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) model. Prior to CBORD, Haley held roles in consulting and development at Unisys Corporation and Digital Equipment/Compaq. He holds a certification as a Project Management Professional, and is a Six Sigma Black Belt. He received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Rochester Institute of Technology.
William J. Williams
Senior Vice President Global Operations and Customer Service
William J. Williams is Senior Vice President, Global Operations and Customer Service for ParTech, Inc. Mr. Williams has responsibility for global operations including planning, supply chain, partner management, manufacturing, sustainability, and logistics for all products within PAR’s Restaurant Technology Business. Mr. Williams also has responsibility for the company’s worldwide Customer Service business that delivers deployment, on-site, advance exchange, depot repair, and call center services.
With these combined groups, Mr. Williams manages the end-to-end delivery of products and services to PAR’s valued customers across the globe. In his 30 years at PAR, Mr. Williams has held various positions within PAR. Prior to assuming responsibility for the company’s customer service organization Mr. Williams was responsible for PAR’s hardware engineering and product management teams.
Mr. Williams holds a B.S. in Industrial Management and an M.S. in Engineering and Global Operations Management from Clarkson University. He is also certified in Supply Chain Management and Six Sigma Process Improvement.
Dr. Tom Cooney
Chief Quality Officer
Tom Cooney is Chief Quality Officer for ParTech, Inc. Tom oversees PAR’s ISO 9001:2008 certified quality management system and is the focal point for PAR’s continuous improvement efforts. In addition, Cooney facilitates process development, deployment process planning, failure analysis and reliability data analysis. Cooney has extensive experience in supply chain engineering, product management, fundamental materials characterization, statistical process control, problem solving methodologies, and has direct experience utilizing project management skills across international boundaries.
Prior to joining ParTech, Cooney served as Director of Quality & Engineering for Dielectric Laboratories (DLI) where he also founded the Build to Print Thin Film business unit, subsequently serving as Business Unit Manager. Previous to DLI, Tom held several roles at Intel including Quality & Reliability Program Manager and Purchasing Manager.
Cooney is a native of Chicago, IL and holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology where he received a Presidential Leadership Scholarship. He also holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota earning an IMAPS distinguished young engineer award and a Department of Energy excellence in graduate research award. In 2007, Cooney earned a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
